Most irrigation systems are reliable and have high quality standards and B & R Landscaping, Inc. is authorized and licensed to install all brands.
We will be happy to point out the advantages and disadvantages of the competitive brands which include Hunter, Toro and Rain Bird. Each manufacture has numerous grades of quality and different degrees of flexibility within their irrigation system offerings.
Water flows and pressures, flexibility and adjustability, and water savings are important and key buzz words in our industry. We will be happy to discuss with you your irrigation needs and recommend the system that best suits your needs.

Ecosystems-Wintergreen grades and smoothes properties, lots and yards. We also design, build, and install drainage systems which cause water run off, standing water, and wet areas to drain underground to a desired exit point.
Sometimes grading or the installation of automatic sump pumps is needed to create the desired result. Below is a brief list of the various methods Ecosystems-Wintergreen uses to solve drainage problems. Most of the time underground “French” drains or “Drywells” can end the nightmare caused by poor drainage. On occasion retaining walls, water falls, catch basins and grates are used in order to solve drainage issues. When possible, dug out soil can be spread about the property’s natural areas to cut the expense of hauling.
At Green Waste R & B Landscaping, Inc. we make the best of people's green garden waste, through environmentally friendly composting.
We process garden waste at our farm in Specialist Companies, where we can recycle large quantities into a feed for soil through natural safe composting, thus returning the nutrients to the earth.
We offer economical green waste disposal solutions for both small and large scale garden waste, whether individual or commercial. Please ask our green waste services to see how we could help.
One of the best water-saving practices is simply to improve the soil by mixing in organic materials like leaf mulch or aged manure. These will promote good root growth and hold more water for the plants to absorb. Adding a few inches of mulch on top of the soil also helps it stay cool and retain moisture.
If you already have an irrigation system, fit it with a wired or wireless rain sensor that shuts off the system as soon as it starts raining. It's inexpensive, easy to install, and reliable, as long as you don't put it under a roof overhang or a big tree. Rain sensors have been so effective at saving water that some areas of the California now require their installation.
Normally, shade trees should be fertilized only enough to keep them healthy. In heavy soils or soils underlain by a hardpan, too frequent or too heavy fertilization may cause nutrients to build up to toxic levels. This may be avoided by periodic soil testing which will show abnormally high or low nutrient levels.
Usually, October through March are the best times to fertilize. Soil moisture and temperature conditions are best during these periods, and this will insure that the fertilizer will be in place at the beginning of the growing season when maximum benefit will be realized. Root growth is best during this time also. Late summer fertilization may promote late growth which is undesirable before winter.
Distressed trees should be fertilized at once. Stress problems will normally show up during the active growing season. Root damaged trees should be fertilized during periods of maximum root growth which occur during spring, early summer and in early to mid autumn.
Landscape maintenance activities include vegetation removal; herbicide and insecticide application; fertilizer application; watering; and other gardening and lawn care practices.
Vegetation control typically involves a combination of chemical (herbicide) application and mechanical methods. All of these maintenance practices have the potential to contribute pollutants to the storm drain system.
The major objectives of this Process are to minimize the discharge of pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers to the storm drain system and receiving waters; prevent the disposal of landscape waste into the storm drain system by collecting and properly disposing of clippings and cuttings, and educating employees and the public.
